A bit about “Big Red”

Paul bought this F100 on eBay one night after a few too many beers during his life purpose finding period one night for just $6,500.

He couldn’t believe his luck… or maybe the owner couldn’t… being just the 3rd owner after 30 years gave him a feeling of responsibility of owning her for at least 15 years like each of her previous owners had. She was in good condition surprisingly – no rust (previous owner had cut out 2 small sections back corners of the pillars & the body was straight with no dents hardly at all.

She had actually travelled up Cape York before & the owner Steve had fitted 2 extra fuel tanks + a hot water tank which heated as you drove along. The ute part was fitted with full size timber drawer setup & had power for 12 volt fridges etc. So that was lucky…

The suspension had been beefed up & was quite sturdy, tyres were shot to pieces (the off road one’s were anyway – as he had also given Paul a full set of quality skinnies) which he drove her back from Brisbane on – (crap for Road Trips, cornering & confidence on the road.
